To Die is to Gain

Every time I grow in my understanding of the way of Jesus, I first have to leave behind some limited, corrupt or misguided idea about my faith.  So for me to grow, something about what I believe must first die.  Could it be that some of my doubts and uncertainties about my faith are not the attacks of the enemy, but are instead Spirit-led works of grace trying to prepare me for the wonderful experience of new growth?!  Mt 10:334-39  For some reason, this passage  inspired this post.  You can make your own connections.
